Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who wish to train in the following programmes.

General Requirements

5 'O' Levels including English Language and Mathematics.

A. POST 'O' LEVEL: DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (SECONDARY)

Programme Additional Requirements Duration
Science A pass in 'O' Level Science (A pass in Biology/Physics/ Chemistry/Physical Science is an added advantage) 5 Semesters
Physical Education and Sport A pass in 'O' Level Integrated Science or Biology. Evidence of competence/participation in any sport is an added advantage. 5 Semesters
Mathematics A pass in 'O' level Mathematics is a requirement. 5 Semesters

B. POST 'A' LEVEL: DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION (SECONDARY)

Programme Additional Requirements Duration
Commercial Studies 'A' level passes in Accounts + a pass in any other Commercial subject at 'A' level. 3 Semesters
Geography and Environmental Science 'A' level passes in Geography + a pass in any other 'A' level Subject. 3 Semesters
Mathematics 'A' level passes in Mathematics + a pass in any other 'A' level Subject. 3 Semesters

C. DIPLOMA IN TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION (SECONDARY)

Programme Additional Requirements Duration
Art and Design A pass in "O" Level Art or any design related subject is an added advantage. 5 Semesters
Agriculture A pass in 'A' level Agriculture is an added advantage. 5 Semesters
Building Technology and Design 'O' Level pass in Building Studies or NFC in Brick and Blocklaying. 5 Semesters
Textile Technology and Design 'O' level passes in Fashion and Fabrics, or NFC related subject. 5 Semesters
Computer Science A pass in 'O' Level Computer Studies with grade C or better. NFC in IT is an added advantage. 5 Semesters
Metal Technology and Design 'O' Level pass in Metalwork is a requirement. 5 Semesters
Technical Graphics and Design 'O' Level pass in T.G. is a requirement. 5 Semesters
Food Technology and Design 'O' Level passes in Food and Nutrition is a requirement. NFC related subject or equivalent is an added advantage. 5 Semesters
Wood Technology and Design 'O' Level pass in Woodwork or NFC related subject. 5 Semesters

D. PEDAGOGICS PROGRAMME

Computer Science National Diploma or HND - HEXCO or equivalent in Computer Studies or Information Technology. 3 Semesters
Textiles Technology and Design National Diploma- (HEXCO or equivalent) in Industrial Clothing Design and Construction. 3 Semesters
Building Technology and Design National Certificate - (HEXCO) in Building Technology. 3 Semesters
Wood Technology and Design National Certificate - (HEXCO or equivalent) in Carpentry and Joinery or Wood Technology (Machining and Manufacturing) 3 Semesters
Commercial Studies National Diploma- (HEXCO or equivalent in Accountancy 3 Semesters
Food Technology and Design National Diploma — (HEXCO or equivalent) in either Professional Cookery or Tourism and Hospitality Management. 3 Semesters
Metal Technology and Design National Certificate — (HEXCO or equivalent) in Machineshop Engineering or Fabrication Engineering 3 Semesters
Technical Graphics and Design National Certificate- (HEXCO) in Technical Graphics 3 Semesters

HEXCO PROGRAMME

Programme Requirements Duration
Information Technology English Language and Mathematics passed at Ordinary level with grade C or better and any other three Ordinary level subjects or National Foundation Certificate (NFC) subjects under Computers Discipline. 2 Semesters
Fashion, Clothing and Textiles English Language and any other four subjects passed at O' Level with grade C or better or NFC subjects under Clothing Discipline. 2 Semesters
Tourism and Hospitality Management English Language and any other four subjects passed at O' Level with grade C or better or NFC subjects under the Hospitality Discipline. 2 Semesters
Building Technology English Language, Science and Mathematics passed at Ordinary Level with grade C or better and any other two subjects or National Foundation Certificate (NFC) subjects under the Construction Discipline or equivalent. 4 Semesters
Wood Technology English Language, Science and Mathematics passed at Ordinary Level with grade C or better and any other two subjects or National Foundation Certificate (NFC) subjects under the Construction Discipline or equivalent. 4 Semesters
Mechanical Engineering English Language, Science and Mathematics passed at Ordinary Level with grade C or better and any other two subjects or National Foundation Certificate (NFC) subjects under the Mechanical Discipline or equivalent. 4 Semesters
Technical Graphics English Language, Science and Mathematics passed at Ordinary Level with grade C or better and any other two subjects or National Foundation Certificate (NFC) subjects under the Mechanical Discipline or equivalent. 4 Semesters
